Summer Hours/Convention Season

With the summer months approaching and hotter days already here The Rusted Nail has changed their hours. Starting now we will be open Friday 2pm - 10pm, Saturday 11am - 10pm, and Closed Sunday - Thursday with early Sunday morning by appointment only. We will continue to host a new show/event every 2nd Friday 6pm - 11pm and may be open for special events such as Mesa Block Party and any other street fairs.

It's also convention season and we will be closed for Phoenix Comicon May 24th - 27th. We may try to be open after con hours on Friday and Saturday, depending on after party events and well honestly how tired I am.

San Diego Comic-Con is July 11th - 15th and we will be attending. Not realizing that it's a week earlier this year, our 2nd Friday event for July falls on the 13th. If I can find someone to open the doors that night the show will go on, otherwise this may be the first 2nd Friday we'll be closed. Artists involved in the planned show have been contacted and we're working together to make this happen.

Neo-Victorian Wasteland II

It's that time again. 2nd Friday is hosting their Sci-Fi Friday event in May and running along side it will be Steampunk Street IV put on by Evermore Nevermore.

The Rusted Nail Gallery will host it's 2nd Neo-Victorian Wasteland show featuring Custom Designer Vinyl, Metal & Wood Sculptures, Original Resin Figures, Paintings, and more done in the Steampunk/Neo-Victorian style.

Anybody is free to submit work for the show. Please contact therustednail@cox.net for more information or to be a part. We will also have a limited amount of space out front for those locals wanting to set up a table. Of coarse you can also contact steampunk@evermorenevermore.com and sign up for a spot for the 2nd Friday art walk along Main Street.

Star Wars Day: May The Fourth Be With You

Friday May the 4th, otherwise known in the geek community as Star Wars Day. The Rusted Nail Gallery will host an evening of Star Wars themed artwork by local artists. As well as Star Wars collectible toys, comic books, costumes, prizes, and more.

We were originally looking to host this event at another venue, but nobody seemed to want to jump at the opportunity to host a Star Wars themed event or were too busy planning for Free Comic Book Day the following day. So when all else fails, host it yourself.

If you have Star Wars themed art, or maybe looking to sell some Star Wars collectibles or comics and would like to be a part of this event please contact therustednail@cox.net. It's just over 1 week out, so if you want to be a part please contact us ASAP so we can plan accordingly.

Monsters On Main Street

Monsters on Main Street opened Friday April 13th as a part of
Mesa's Second Friday Night Out and to help celebrate the opening of
Monsterland Bar & Grill.

Custom Designer Vinyl & Resin will take the main stage while
the walls will bleed with canvases from both local and international artists.
The theme is Monsters and of coarse being Friday the 13th the scarier the better.

Anybody is free to submit pieces for the show which opens
Friday the 13th of April and will run until Saturday May 5th.

Build The Robots/1 Year Anniversary Show

Holy crap it's been a year already!? Indeed, The Rusted Nail Gallery opened its doors March 11th 2011. So come out and celebrate with us. We'll have robots, food, drinks, prizes, a live DJ, and more. Build The Robots opens Friday March 9th as a part of Mesa's 2nd Friday Night Out. Featuring metal robots, wood robots, resin robots, cardboard robots, vinyl robots, and robots of all sizes created by a handful of select artists, both local and out of state.
